Toronto to Palm Springs, California - $238 to $343 CAD roundtrip including taxes [nonstop flights]

For those that are comfortable rolling the dice, Flair Air is showing nonstop flights in winter 2023 from Toronto to Palm Springs, California for $238 to $343 CAD roundtrip including taxes.
The base fare without luggage (personal item only) is $238 CAD roundtrip (including the seat selection fee which now appears to have a mandatory minimum of $20 roundtrip).
The more realistic price is $343 roundtrip with a piece of carry-on luggage, or $385 roundtrip with a piece of checked luggage.
For comparison, the next cheapest nonstop flights from Toronto to Palm Springs in the winter months are currently Air Canada's flights for $835-$975 CAD roundtrip (including a piece of carry-on). Yikes.
Booking with Flair comes with risk. They've been known to drop routes without warning. If a flight is cancelled or delayed they usually don't have an alternative way of getting you to your destination (many routes only have flights 2-3 times a week). This tends to become a larger risk during winter when weather can affect the operations of all airlines.
Flair was recently under investigation due to concerns they may not have the percentage of Canadian ownership that they claim. But regulators recently determined that Flair was Canadian enough and were allowed to keep their operating license.
