China Eastern has dropped the price of their flights to various destinations in Southeast Asia down to $550 CAD roundtrip including taxes, for travel between mid November and mid December 2016.
You may be wondering what it's really like to fly with China Eastern.

How to find and book these deals
1. Go to Skyscanner
2. Search for a flight from Toronto (YYZ) to one of the following destinations...
Bangkok, Thailand (BKK)
Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam (SGN)
Hong Kong (HKG)
Manila, Philippines (MNL)
Phuket, Thailand (HKT)
Singapore (SIN)
3. Use one of the following date combinations:
Nov 16 or 17 to Nov 27, 28, 29, 30
Nov 16 or 17 to Dec 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 18, or 19
Nov 21 or 22 to Dec 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 18, or 19

There's also flights to Bali, Indonesia in March, April and May 2017 for $698 CAD roundtrip including taxes
But they require a nearly 24 hour layover in Shanghai, China on the way there.
You need to depart by April 29th, but can return on nearly any date in May..
May is a good month to visit Bali. April is generally the start of the dry season, although you might want to focus on the second half of April for better odds.
1. Try this Google Flights search...
Google Flights: Toronto to Bali
2. Click on the departure date box to open up the calendar view and browse other dates
Look for the date combinations that are $727 CAD roundtrip.
3. Go to Skyscanner and search for a flight from Toronto to Bali, Indonesia (DPS)
Use the same dates as you found on Google Flights.

Update 10/19 - Just a heads up that a few of these date combinations are available again. Some flights from Toronto to Thailand are as cheap as $527 CAD roundtrip including taxes!

Beside each destination are the dates that are currently working for that destination.
Phuket, Ho Chi Minh City, Bangkok, and Singapore have reasonable flight lengths. Hong Kong has long layovers.
