Aeromexico and COPA have dropped the price of their flights from Toronto to Mexico City, Colombia, Nicaragua, Ecuador, Peru, and Chile down to between $288 and $350 CAD roundtrip including taxes.
The flights have 1 stop each way, in Mexico City or Panama City. (Except for Mexico City, which are non-stop flights with Aeromexico)
As of November 1st, Peru is allowing international flights back into the country from certain cities, including Mexico City (MEX). It is *assumed* that this means Canadians will be allowed to enter if they're flying in on an Aeromexico flight, but Peru has yet to release an official statement. Visitors will be required to bring the result of a recent negative PCR test, performed no more than 72 hours before arrival.
Update November 10th: Chile is opening back up to international tourists, including Canadians, sometime in early December (official start date to be determined). A negative PCR test result from up to 72 hours before arrival into Chile is required.
Colombia re-opened for Canadian tourists on September 21st (as of Nov 4th, a negative test result is no longer required for entry).
Nicaragua re-opened on October 1st (a negative PCR test result from within 72 hours of departure is required for entry).
Ecuador re-opened for Canadian tourists on August 16th. A negative covid PCR test result, taken within the last 10 days, is required for entry.
Business class flights are available for about $300 more roundtrip.
