Air Canada has dropped the price of their flights from Toronto to Tokyo and Osaka, Japan down to between $998 and $1068 CAD roundtrip including taxes.
It's possible to find nonstop flights both ways on certain dates. Or you can find 1 stop flights that connect through Vancouver or Montreal.
To Osaka (KIX - Kansai), nonstop flights are available up until October 24th.
You can also fly into Tokyo (Narita - NRT), and out of Osaka, or vice versa.
UPDATE: Air Canada's nonstop flights have gone back up in price. Delta is currently showing 1 stop flights to Tokyo for $1070 roundtrip.
