British Airways has dropped the price of their flights from Toronto to the island of Jersey, the largest of the Channel Islands, which is a dependency of the United Kingdom, but actually located pretty close to France, down to $640 CAD roundtrip including taxes.
The flights have 1 stop in London each way.
Jersey has a few attractions, such as Mount Orgueil Castle, some scenic bays and shorelines, and over 200 restaurants.
You can also book these as a Multi-City trip, extending the stay in London to 24 hours. So you would fly from Toronto to London, spend 24 hours there, and then fly to Jersey (spend however long there), and then fly home from Jersey.
Or you could book these as a Multi City where you fly into London, and then home from Jersey, but it's up to you to get from London to Jersey. History buffs would likely want to visit Normandy on the way from London (see map below).
